DX Film Edge

The DX Film Edge barcode is exposed as a latent image along the edge of 135 (35mm) photographic film to identify the film for automated photofinishing, as a data track beside a clock track that synchronises its reading.

Uses:

  • Identification of the film and its frames in automated photofinishing of 135 film.

Standards: ISO 1007 Photography - 135-size film and magazine - Specifications; US Patent 4,965,628.
