#4118: Add note markup to user inactivity definition
- No further comment from Mary Jo when prompted on the related issue #4117; decided to close PR
- Will leave more detailed comment on #4117
- While the change seems small, it would technically slightly change scope
- Daniel Montalvo (W3C) offered to bring it to Mary Jo's attention since he meets with her regularly
- Scott raised the question of whether WCAG 3 will be more amenable to "re-chizzling the stone" than WCAG 2 is in the sense of making normative fixes when issues are found
-
#4874: Does the SC 1.4.3 Contrast minium exception apply to text outside a disabled control?
- Started as a WCAG 2 issue, question still valid for 2.x work; was moved to w3c/wcag3#160 in Jan 2025
- Agreed to move back to WCAG 2; moved back to To do
- Was still at an impasse in terms of agreement
-
#4859: Fix example section nesting in H91 and PDF9
- Fixes incorrect nesting of trailing example sections
- Moved to Ready for approval
-
#4863: Nullify WAI blockquote styles
- Removes spurious quotes around blockquote children (inherited from WAI stylesheet)
- Moved to Ready for approval
-
#4857: Skip "New" paragraph when scanning definitions to make link titles
- Fixes "New" in definition link tooltips
- Will likely be queued for quarterly errata
- Moved to Ready for approval
-
#4845: Consistency: "user agent" rather than "user-agent"
- Agreed that "user agent" is already more consistently used, and nouns typically make more sense without hyphenation
- Moved to Ready for approval
-
#4840: Update definition for "status message"
- Rewriting "status message" definition
- Scott suggests a complementary update to Understanding to help distinguish things that fall under status messages and 4.1.3, vs. those that do not, e.g. to avoid live region overload
- Agreement on moving this to Ready for approval, with expectation that any informative change would likely get through prior to this making it into quarterly errata
-
#4686: Technique using progressbar role
- Patrick had previously commented that the example doesn't necessitate use of aria-progressbar, given the inclusion of a live region
- Expand explanation of technique to be clearer
- Possibly even re-title to focus on what specifically passes
- Francis to update, TF will review again (left in Drafted)
-
#4813: Better clarify the "Supported Interface" exception for device motion in understanding
- Attempts to clarify based on a 2019 question in #727
- Much wordsmithing ensued
- Moved to Ready for approval
