The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (30 September) was missing from the Canadian holidays, so it never showed as a public holiday for customers in British Columbia. It has been a statutory holiday there since 2023.

It is now statutory in British Columbia and Prince Edward Island, and informal in Alberta and Manitoba, matching where each province actually requires employers to observe it. Only the provinces we already offer are covered.

The holiday applies from 2026 onwards so no existing dates change. September 30 falls on a weekend in 2028 and 2029, and moves to the following Monday in both years.

Statutory in British Columbia and Prince Edward Island, informal in
Alberta and Manitoba. Applied after 2026 so existing dates are unchanged.
