When a Changesets version PR is merged, .github/workflows/release.yml invokes this script independently of the Verify workflow. This replacement removes the previous check:types and test commands, so a failing verification run does not prevent changeset publish from publishing the npm package and creating its GitHub release. Keep these checks in the release command or otherwise make publication depend on successful verification.
