I removed the old widget because it had a request limit without a token. I tried to use a token but it didn't worked either.

It seems you are using a new provider.

And make sure we will not have the same rate-limit problem, is it needed a token for that with this provider?

The right widget code should be:

It requires anyway the github personal token. I think we can just paste this PNG image and update it from time to time.

The whole point of the alternative is that you don't need a token, your snippet is correct and should work correctly. You are right though, this MR doesn't target the correct repo

And I'm not sure I does not require a token. See https://star-history.dera.page/how-to-use:

Apparently it needs a token but without write permissions:

Sorry for that it is clearly confusing. I'm the creator of that fork and I did not update the how-to-use page correctly. You do not need any token, just use this
