- Create an account and log in.
- Set your giving target in the Settings (or keep the 10% default).
- Log your entries. Add a "paycheck" whenever you earn money, and a "donation" whenever you give.
- Watch your dashboard. Obligo will dynamically calculate your fulfilled commitments and show you your running balances.
(Note on historical accuracy: Your obligation is calculated based on your target percentage at the exact moment you log a paycheck. If you decide to increase your giving percentage later, it only applies to future earnings, ensuring your past history remains accurate.)
Obligo is open-source and meant to be self-hosted on infrastructure you control. It ships as a lightweight, single Docker image with database provisioning handled via Docker Compose.
