O.o I’ve never seen this initialism used, where did this come up? |
|
I now see, via matrix, that it was mentioned in one of the presentations. It's fine to add, but I thought the point of this file is to document commonly used abbreviations/initialisms/terminology, not just to add every shorthand that ever comes up. |
Maybe not. While the bar needn't be high for including new terms, there should be a reasonable expectation that the term or acronym has some demonstrated substantial usage, at least in TC39, if not in general. It appears this doesn't pass muster. |

+1 to Jordan's and Chris's points. I would be mildly against adding this term — I feel like the terminology doc has some kind of "blessing" effect, and I wouldn't want to see this initialism gain traction. It's uncommon (at least in my experience), and the term it replaces ("steps to reproduce") doesn't have a consistent, exact phrasing in common use. Furthermore, in my experience, "repro" is already in common use as a shorthand for this concept. |

STR is pretty commonly used in implementations' issue trackers, but I also feel like it doesn't come up for committee. |
