Publish radius-project/verify-cloud-auth and radius-project/run-rad-commands to the GitHub Marketplace #12524

Description

@zachcasper

Summary

Publish the two Repo Radius GitHub Actions, radius-project/verify-cloud-auth and radius-project/run-rad-commands, to the GitHub Marketplace so that repositories can reference them from committed workflows.

Part of the Repo Radius feature specification (PR #12078).

Details

Repo Radius delivers Radius as two published GitHub Actions that a repository's committed workflows invoke:

Action Purpose
radius-project/verify-cloud-auth Verify an environment's OIDC configuration can authenticate to the cloud provider before a deployment is attempted.
radius-project/run-rad-commands Run one or more allowed rad commands against an environment (deploy, update, delete, read).

Both actions must be published to the Marketplace and released under immutable version tags that resolve to specific commit SHAs, so that committed workflows can pin to an exact, verified version (see User Story 4.1, Upgrade Repo Radius).

Requirements

  • FR1: verify-cloud-auth shall be published to the Marketplace and released under immutable version tags that resolve to specific commit SHAs.
  • FR5: run-rad-commands shall be published to the Marketplace and released under immutable version tags that resolve to specific commit SHAs.

Acceptance criteria

  • radius-project/verify-cloud-auth is available on the GitHub Marketplace.
  • radius-project/run-rad-commands is available on the GitHub Marketplace.
  • Each release is tagged with an immutable version tag that resolves to a specific commit SHA.

    Current implementation and remaining work

    Implemented: radius-project/ai-extensions#424 and radius-project/ai-extensions#657 added canonical, commit-pinned verify-cloud-auth and run-rad-commands action implementations.

Remaining: neither action is published as the requested GitHub Marketplace listing, so users cannot consume the stable Marketplace identities described by this issue. Marketplace publication and verification remain outstanding.
