I'm Patrick, a software developer from Palm Bay, Florida (originally a Long Island guy). After 6.5 years in the tech world, I've learned that the best code is the code that ships and actually works for people.
I spend my days building things with C# .NET and my nights tinkering with TypeScript fullstack projects. Got experience with Angular, React, Node.js backends (server frameworks like Express.js and Hapi), and databases like MSSQL and MongoDB. These days I'm all about AI-assisted development. GitHub Copilot at work, Claude Code for personal projects. The future is here and it's pretty awesome.
Made the jump from blue collar natural gas work to software development because, honestly, 70+ hour weeks for 40k wasn't cutting it when I wanted to start a family. Best decision I ever made. Now I work a solid 40 hours, make decent money, and actually get to see my wife Hillary and our daughter Adeline every day.
You'll probably find me throwing discs at chains on a disc golf course somewhere in Florida. Been playing competitively for a while now and slowly grinding that PDGA rating up. It's all about consistency and steady improvement, just like programming.
Faith and family come first in my life. Everything else is just details.
Always up for talking shop about C#, TypeScript, AI development, or disc golf. Feel free to reach out if any of my projects catch your eye or if you want to chat about making the career change into tech.
