Introduction

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental condition that affects communication, behavior, and social interaction. Early detection and intervention can significantly improve outcomes for children with ASD. This web app provides a user-friendly platform to upload and analyze pictures of toddlers, identifying potential signs of autism at an early age.

Installation

To run this project locally, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/uynphm/MiniMinds
  2. Install the dependencies:

    npm install
    pip install tensorflow==2.13.0

    pip install numpy==1.24.3
    pip install pillow==10.0.0
    pip install scikit-image==0.21.0
    pip install matplotlib==3.7.1
    pip install uvicorn==0.34.0

    pip install fastapi==0.115.11
    pip install opencv-python==4.11.0.86
    pip install pydantic==2.10.6
    pip install python-multipart
  3. Run API server:

    • Grab the API key from Groq

    Create a .env file (MiniMinds/.env). Input to .env:

    GROQ_API_KEY = <API_KEY>
    • Input to terminal:
    cd backend
    uvicorn api_call:app --reload

    Available on http://localhost:8000/

  4. Run web server:

    npm run dev

    Available on http://localhost:3000/
