Superseded by #411, which landed the newer dependency set.

Closing rather than rebasing, for two reasons.

First, most of this PR is already covered. #411 bumped 8 direct dependencies including a newer ultraviolet (the 20260811 build) than the one here (20260803). Resolving the go.mod and go.sum conflict on this branch risks rolling ultraviolet backwards by a week, which is the kind of thing that passes CI and confuses someone three months from now.

Second, what is genuinely left is small and stale: otel 1.44 to 1.45, an x/exp/slice bump, and one npm transitive (fast-uri 3.1.4 to 3.1.5). A fresh dependency refresh picks all of that up cleanly and gets current versions rather than versions from three weeks ago.

I will run that refresh as a follow-up.
