Player dossier: model-built dossier for every player

Every player in the directory now gets a dossier built from the embedding model — no hand-written bios, nothing to go stale.

What it renders (data-first; markdown wiki stays as fallback)

• 14-trait style fingerprint (minutes-weighted z-scores vs league average, orange = above)
• Current archetype + career archetype path
• Era twin with plain-words shared/different traits (thin-match qualifier when similarity is low)
• How his game changed: first vs last charted season movement
• The neighborhood: 5 nearest other-player seasons by 14-d cosine similarity
• On the map: plain-words read of map position
• Provenance link to methods.html#dossier

Data

• pipeline/build_dossiers.py (stdlib-only) generates assets/dossiers.json: 2,415 players, 2.02 MB (under the 2.5 MB budget), from vectors.json + player_team_season.json + eratwins.json + twin_explainer.json + player_meta.json
• Display-name fixes at build time (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Karl-Anthony Towns, Michael Carter-Williams); raw slugs/keys untouched
• Jordan's span correctly shown as charted seasons 1996-97 → 2002-03 (dataset window, not full career)

QA (local, Chrome for Testing via CDP) — 23/23

• Aaron Gordon: all six sections render, era twin Blake Griffin (2011-12, sim 0.627), span 2014-15 → 2025-26, modal opens/closes, console clean
• Michael Jordan edge case: renders, 4 seasons, CHI/WAS, twin Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (hyphenated)
• Mobile 390x844: zero horizontal overflow, console clean
• Sticky modal header so title + Close stay reachable while the long dossier scrolls
• Repo smoke checks (JSON parse, script refs, HTML parse, SW core list) pass; root/public parity verified for all 13 files

Service worker

• player-dossier.js added to precache; cache bumped to vector-hoops-atlas-v3 per the file's own bump convention
• dossiers.json (2.02 MB) follows the large-data-file pattern (network-first, like vectors.json) — not precached; offline shows the graceful fallback message

Notes

• Additive only; gold behavior preserved. No merge/deploy — for your review.
• Verified example: Aaron Gordon — 12 seasons, ORL→DEN, PF/SF; signature traits on-court impact / rim pressure / finishing; neighborhood Shabazz Muhammad 17-18 (0.820), Kelly Oubre 20-21 (0.807), Keldon Johnson 24-25 (0.795).
