jackson-rostagno/README.md

I'm a data scientist by day and backend engineer by weekend/night. I enjoy building data pipelines and infrastructure, doing in depth analyses and designing systems and tooling that work efficiently and are user-friendly. Prior to my data role, I spent over a decade leading retail operations and customer support teams, and finding ways to automate processes. I believe this background gives me a unique understanding of how data and tech can influence decisions in a company, and how to bridge the technical with business goals.

My current interests are in the following:

  • Backend development with Rust/Go
  • Automation using Python and cloud services
  • Data pipeline and system design
  • Operationalising machine learning
  • Mobile app development

I'm expanding my skills in Rust and Dart at the moment, as well as in other areas of machine learning and AI. I am keen and open to contributing to backend and tooling projects, so if you're working on something exciting in these areas, let's connect.
