Indicate the explicit difference between "Zoom terminal" and "Maximise terminal"

In the Using the keyboard section appears a table with the 2 following features:

Zoom terminal       Ctrl+Shift+Z
Maximise terminal   Ctrl+Shift+X

Practically both do the same. What is explicitly the exact difference? Consider to add a brief explanation below of that table such as [2] and [3] do.
