Coding Plan

Summary

• Align confirm prompt behavior with the existing list prompt pattern by displaying the selected answer after user input
• Reuse the established visual convention (cyan-colored answer) for consistency across all prompt types
• Minimal, focused change to the confirm handler in the custom prompts library

Implementation Steps

Add Post-Selection Display to Confirm Prompts

Enhance the confirm prompt handler to display the selected answer after user input, matching the visual feedback pattern already established by list prompts.

Update Confirm Prompt Display Logic

Add visual feedback to the confirm prompt so that after the user responds (or accepts the default by pressing Enter), the selected value is displayed inline.

• Modify src/lib/prompts.js in the confirm prompt handling section (around lines 26-45)
• After the answer is resolved (whether from user input or default), clear and rewrite the prompt line to show the final selection
• Display the resolved answer ("Yes" or "No") using chalk.cyan() to match the existing list prompt pattern
• Use the same cursor manipulation approach as list prompts: move cursor up, clear the line, then print the final summary line with the question and selected value
• The final output should look like: ? Do you want to add Docker support? No (with "No" in cyan)

🤖 Prompt for AI agents

Enhance the confirm prompt handler in `src/lib/prompts.js` to display the
resolved answer after user input, matching the visual feedback pattern of list
prompts.

- Locate the confirm prompt handling section in `src/lib/prompts.js` (around
lines 26-45)
- After the answer is resolved (from either user input or the default value),
add the following cursor manipulation and redraw logic:
  - Move the cursor up
  - Clear the current line
- Print the final summary line containing the question text and the resolved
answer
- Display the resolved answer as `"Yes"` or `"No"` wrapped in `chalk.cyan()` to
match the existing list prompt convention
- Use the same cursor manipulation approach already used by list prompts (move
cursor up, clear line, print final line)
- The final printed output should follow the format: `? <question text>
<cyan-colored answer>` (e.g., `? Do you want to add Docker support? No`)

Research

The project uses a custom readline-based prompt engine in src/lib/prompts.js (not Inquirer.js). It supports three question types: confirm, list, and input. The Docker prompt is defined as a confirm type with default: false in src/create-next-quick.js. Currently, list prompts rewrite the line after selection to display the chosen value in cyan, but confirm prompts lack this visual feedback—they simply accept input without showing the resolved answer.
