My Pixel C and Nexus 10 both do this thing where if I am in landscape and I enable the service then the screen will immediately rotate to portrait. So then I rotate the tablet physically to the same portrait orientation and I get the circle in the corner. If I tap that circle, still holding the tablet in portrait position, the screen rotates to landscape. This will repeat and so the service always wants to move the screen 90 deg away from how it really is.
