JavaFX developer, consultant and freelancer β building data-dense desktop applications in Java since long before it was fashionable. Java Champion, JavaOne Rockstar, based in Zurich, Switzerland.
I am the founder of DLSC Software & Consulting GmbH in Zurich, Switzerland. My focus has always been the same: the user interface layer of serious Java applications β first with Swing, and today with JavaFX.
Most of my work happens where the UI gets hard: scheduling and planning views, timelines, calendars, large tables, and dashboards that have to stay responsive with a lot of data behind them. Over the years that has meant projects in aviation, logistics, finance and industrial planning.
Alongside client work I maintain a fairly large set of open source JavaFX libraries, and I run JFXCentral, the community website for everything JavaFX.
Most of my open source work lives in the DLSC organisation.

FlexGanttFX is my framework for building professional scheduling and planning user interfaces β Gantt charts, timelines and resource planning for JavaFX. It powers planning systems in aviation, logistics and industrial production.
It is now open source, dual-licensed under AGPLv3 and a commercial licence: free to use in open source projects, with a commercial option for closed-source products. Source: dlsc-software-consulting-gmbh/FlexGanttFX.
JFXCentral β the central place for the JavaFX community: people, libraries, books, tutorials, videos, blogs and news. Built with JavaFX itself, running in the browser via JPro. Source: jfxcentral2 and jfxcentral-data.
I speak regularly at Java conferences and Java User Groups about JavaFX, desktop UI design and the realities of building large client applications. I was awarded a JavaOne Rockstar award for my talks, and I am a Java Champion.
I am available for consulting, training and custom JavaFX development β from architecture reviews and custom control development to building an entire application front end.
