The Centipede in Advanced Hive lack utility. It has similar movement to the current version of the Orchid Mantis. Like #41 , I propose letting the Centipede move across gaps. Here it burrows under the Hive in a straight line and pops up behind the Hive.

The Centipede can also slide around the hive 1 or 2 tiles at a time giving it a slow, crawling attack to compensate that jumping across gaps can be difficult. In #41 's case, the Orchid Mantis lands on top of a bug which is stronger than behind as landing behind can lead to loops.
Both this proposal and #41 could work with adjustments to crawl around movement (Reducing or removing it from the Centipede here and or adding to the Orchid Mantis)
