Is this waiting for 3.9.0-RC4 or is there something that still needs investigation? |
there are a few bugs in 3.9.0-RC3 and they should be fixed in RC4. |
Not sure why there are quite many bugs in 3.9.0 release :(,let's wait for the next RC4 |
still have compile issues |
@He-Pin would you have time to try to summarise the remaining compile issues for the scala3 team? |
They are working on it now |
Same issues as the 3.9.0-RC4 build. Oddly the build fails with compiling java source files. |
Motivation: Scala 3.9.0-RC1 is available and should be tested as the next Scala version. Modification: Update scala3Next version from 3.8.4 to 3.9.0-RC1. Result: Build will use Scala 3.9.0-RC1 as the next Scala version. Tests: Not run - version bump only References: None - version bump

Are you actually planning to release Pekko 2 build with Scala 3.9? |
it is not the plan to drop support for Scala 3.3 - these 3.9 builds are just to check that code can build with that release I suppose that we would make scala 3.9 the baseline at some stage within a year of the 3.9.0 release. Basically, Pekko 3 would be the target for that but we would be publishing snapshots for Pekko 3 within a few months (within a month or 2 of a Pekko 2.0.0 release). |
@mkurz Yes, this is a part of the community build, make Pekko ready for 3.9.0 |
3.9.0-RC6 seems to have fixed the compile issues |
Cool~ it's finally passed |
