Summary

• Pins the verified multi-architecture Discourse 2026.10.0-latest image index and releases it as StartOS version 2026.10.0-latest:0.
• Treats the monthly upstream jump as a minor update and highlights the native Markdown endpoints, archive/event features, workflow tooling, and security improvements in localized release notes.
• Keeps PostgreSQL 18 unchanged. The only bundled-plugin removal is docker_manager, which this package already removes before startup.

The pinned OCI index provides both amd64 and arm64 images. The package already uses the current start-sdk 2.0.9.

Testing

• Automated: npm run check passes.
• Live testing not run: upgrade an existing forum to 2026.10.0-latest:0, watch database migrations and asset compilation complete, then sign in, load the forum and admin panel, create or edit a topic with an upload, and restart to confirm existing data remains available.

Merge with a merge commit — do not squash. next is long-lived: a merge commit leaves it a true ancestor of master, so it fast-forwards cleanly afterwards. A squash re-lands the same content under a new commit, so the branch is left carrying history master will never contain.
