Needs changes: 1 blocking (PPROF_PORT ships without its companions: no docs/ entry, ...).

- Line 31: Update the port-forward example in the resources-at-scale
documentation to use the chart’s rendered fullname rather than the Helm release
name. Show the default fullname, nodewright, and note that nameOverride or
fullnameOverride can change it; use the resulting fullname in the Deployment

When the operator's memory grows on a large cluster, go_memstats says how much is allocated and how often the GC runs, but nothing on the manager says which allocations. controller-runtime already serves net/http/pprof when PprofBindAddress is set; expose it through PPROF_PORT, empty by default so existing deployments are unchanged. Set to 127.0.0.1:6060 the listener stays off the pod network and kubectl port-forward reaches it. The knob ships with its companions: a "Profiling the operator" section in docs/operations/resources-at-scale.md (loopback-only binding, port-forward and go tool pprof, the endpoint is unauthenticated, changing it restarts the manager), controllerManager.manager.env.pprofPort in the chart (the env var is only emitted when set, so rendered output is unchanged for existing installs), and the PPROF_PORT mirror in operator/config. Description
Exposes controller-runtime's
PprofBindAddressthrough aPPROF_PORTenv option. Empty by default, so nothing changes for existing deployments. Set to127.0.0.1:6060the listener stays off the pod network andkubectl port-forwardreaches it forgo tool pprof.Motivation: when the operator's memory grows on a large cluster,
go_memstats_*says how much but not which allocations. This makes that one port-forward away.closes #794
How this was verified
go build ./...,go vet ./...andmake unit-testsfromoperator/at this commit: 143 of 143 specs pass.PPROF_PORT=127.0.0.1:6062the pprof server is logged and started,/debug/pprof/answers 200 and/debug/pprof/heapreturns a profile; with it unset no pprof listener is opened and the parsed option is empty. Controllers start cleanly in both cases.make lint(toolchain mismatch on my machine); relying on CI's lint lane. No test added: the change passes an existing controller-runtime option through, with no logic of its own.helm-testsandmigrationlanes on k8s-1.37.0 fail in cluster creation on a Docker Hub anonymous pull-rate limit, before any test runs; the same lanes fail the same way on another open PR today.Checklist
