Community Property public research datasets

This package contains dated, public research structures for California court resources, property-evidence workflows and divorce-property software. It contains no client, matter or uploaded-document data.

Primary datasets

  • California superior-court financial-disclosure directory: all 58 counties, official targets, review date and scope note.
  • California property evidence workflow index: public record taxonomy mapped to property subjects, FL-142 items and consolidated workflows.
  • Divorce property software feature matrix and claim register: dated first-party product, architecture, collaboration, California-disclosure and public-price observations.

Use the data dictionary to interpret fields and limitations. Use the JSON manifest to verify the byte size and SHA-256 digest of each published file. Preserve row-level official or vendor source attribution and observation dates when quoting the research.

datapackage.json describes the five tabular resources as a Frictionless Data Package. It includes typed field schemas, resource constraints, byte sizes, SHA-256 hashes, source metadata and the package license for automated validation and reuse.

The Community Property compilation, field definitions and original annotations are made available under CC BY 4.0. Official court facts and vendor statements remain attributable to their respective sources. This package is educational research, not legal advice, a security certification, an endorsement or a complete statement of current court procedure or product terms.

Corrections

Please report a broken official source, stale observation, or data error through the repository issue tracker at https://github.com/EconLearn/community-property-data/issues. Identify the file and row, provide the replacement primary source, and describe the proposed correction. Accepted corrections are logged in a new dated release rather than silently rewriting an earlier release.

Release 2026.08.26 adds archive-specific metadata without changing the underlying observations reviewed on 2026-08-19.
