Nerdminer 2 Useless on my network #814

Description

@grndvl1

I have Metronet 1G network fiber with super low latency . My 2 nerdminers are right next to my wifi router. I let them run all night and I saw for a second that the two worker were active on viabtc. But then they went offline and stayed there. They are hashing with decent hashrates but not communicating with viabtc. Also on this network I have the Avalon Nano3s and it is running just fine. So the devices wifi sucks as I can watch on the eero app they cycle on and offline.

    Via is the one I like with how it pays out. Trying a different pool is not what I want to do and also since its dropping on the Eero wifi then its probably the devices not compatible. Also configuring these are a pain, having to reset every frickin time. I've reset it probably 20 times now. I know my settings by heart now. Yeah I just want my money back not worth it.

    It could be that the pool is rejecting the miners. Many pools do not want to do business with the tiny low-rate miners. It could also be that the miners are too close to your router and if your wifi is configured to use the same SSID for both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz it's causing them to drop off (the miners require 2.4). Most importantly, if the 2 Nerdminers are the tiny, low-hashrate miners they will never get you anything on viaBTC anyway.

    Yeah I've tried far away and close to the wifi router. I am trying luckfastblocks.com too and same scenario... someone did say that they got viabtc connected to these that is why I tried. Just for fun. I have another rig that is doing BCH and that I had a 1% chance last block. I'll probably return these and get my money back and invest in another BCH device

    So went back to the public pool io default, the default on the device, to see if that will actually show me some uploads instead of 100% rejections like in the picture above. I noticed the port is not 3333 but some 25xxx number I switched it to 3333 on one and now I do see it sort ofworks..., workers blank but yet hashrates???
