Drizzle Gateway is officially distributed as Linux binaries and Docker images. Running it on Windows traditionally requires WSL2 or Docker Desktop, permanently consuming 1.5–2 GB of background RAM (VmmemWSL).
This project packages Drizzle Gateway into a standalone, 100% native Windows desktop app using Bun and Microsoft Edge WebView2 — zero WSL, zero Docker, and zero background memory on close.

👉 Read the Complete User Guide (USAGE.md)
- 100% Native (Zero WSL / Zero Docker): Runs directly as native Windows processes. Drops to 0 MB RAM immediately when closed.
- Low Memory Footprint: Consumes ~150–250 MB under active database usage (compared to 1.5–2 GB on WSL2 / Docker Desktop), dropping down to ~35 MB when idle in the background tray via Win32 working-set trimming.
- System Tray Quick-Launcher: Stays in your taskbar notification area. Right-click to launch any saved database connection (
PostgreSQL,MySQL,SQLite,LibSQL) into a dedicated window. - Multi-Window Support: Open multiple database windows concurrently. All instances share a single backend daemon to minimize memory.
- Mobile Access & Standalone PWA: Access your databases on your phone or tablet. Scan the pairing QR code from the tray menu to connect via Tailscale (with automatic zero-config HTTPS detection for a true, standalone installable PWA) or local Wi-Fi LAN, secured with automated token authentication.
- Process Lifetime Management: Windows Job Object integration and recursive process tree termination ensure all WebView2 renderers and background tasks terminate cleanly when exiting from the tray.
