This PR rewrites the Usage section of the Media Library page for the beta UI shipped in Strapi 5.52.2 behind the betaMediaLibrary future flag, replacing the 11 self-healing PRs closed on 2026-08-26.

  • Documents the folder tree, the grid and table views, the 3 upload paths, the app-wide upload dialog, search, filters, sorting, the asset details panel, the Crop & Focus area editor, the item actions menu, selection and bulk actions, and folder management
  • States what the flag does and does not change: the Content Manager media field, the Media Library settings page and the Upload REST API are untouched
  • Adds 26 screenshots in light and dark, including an annotated interface overview
  • Documents concurrentUploadRequests, and adds betaMediaLibrary plus the flag prefixes to the features configuration reference
  • Every label and behaviour was checked against a Strapi 5.52.2 app with the flag enabled, including the permission gaps and the known replace-renames-the-asset bug, which the page deliberately says nothing about

Two calls for you: the Usage section describes the beta UI, so it only matches what a reader sees once they enable the flag, which makes merge timing relative to GA a decision rather than a detail. And the rewrite orphans 16 previous-UI screenshots plus 3 anchors whose sections merged (#adding-a-focal-point, #editing-folders, #moving-assets-to-a-folder); I left the files in place rather than deleting them.

… bar

strapi/strapi#27453 adds a Select all button to the bulk actions bar of the beta Media Library, which makes the previous claim that only the table view offers a select-all wrong. The button acts on the items currently loaded and never deselects, unlike the table header checkbox.
strapi#27451 adds a right-click menu on the empty parts of the assets area,
offering the same creation actions as the New button and acting on the folder
currently open. It ships under the betaMediaLibrary flag, so it belongs in this
Usage section rather than on the stable UI page.

Placed next to the item actions menu, since the menu creates folders as well as
uploading assets. Records the hit area, the controls and items that keep the
browser's own menu, and the Create permission gate.

Replaces the self-healing PR #3439, which documented the feature on the
previous UI where it does not exist.

The button that opens an item's actions menu carries no visible label, so the docs now name it by its icon only.
The Media Library settings page displays Enabled, not True, for this option.
