Help build AI tools you can run, inspect, and control.
I'm Joshua Warren, an independent engineer and Omarchy team member working on Omarchy M. I build open-source software that makes local AI more useful, from GPU backends and accelerator drivers to developer tools and agent memory.
What I'm building
Apple silicon on Linux. With omarchy-mlx, I'm bringing MLX to Apple GPUs through Vulkan rather than Metal. My Apple Neural Engine work and MIL compiler extend that effort to ANE workloads under Linux. This work spans drivers, compilers, inference, speech, packaging, and testing on real hardware.
Tools for understanding and using local AI. Coreglass connects inference performance to what the hardware is actually doing. I also build Linux-to-iOS development tooling and Allward, a native Mac terminal for working with coding agents across local and remote machines. Along the way, I contribute fixes and improvements to projects including oMLX, mlx-serve, and Omarchy.
Memory you control. I created Remnic to give coding assistants and other AI agents persistent, local-first memory. Context stays inspectable and portable rather than trapped inside one provider's conversation history.
What your sponsorship supports
Your support helps fund development time, test hardware, and the work that makes these projects useful beyond a demo: correctness checks, reproducible benchmarks, documentation, packaging, and upstream fixes.
The goal is straightforward: make more of the hardware you own usable for AI, and give you more control over the software and context running on it.
If you use these projects or want this work to keep moving, please consider sponsoring. Thank you for helping me build and maintain it in the open.
