How to update the index after moving source directories?

Maybe this functionality is there but I couldn't find it.

I've set up my index in /mnt/data . Now I've moved /mnt/data/huge-dir-i-dont-want-to-reindex to /mnt/data/newlocation.
Is there some functionality in cbird so I can tell it that I've moved some of its source files from A to B so that it doesn't remove and (re-) add those files on next update?

There is -move or -rename for this purpose, however they must be used to do the actual moving/renaming of files, they weren't designed to fix it after.

_index/media0.db is a sqlite database containing file paths, you could update the paths there manually with the new prefix.

sqlite3 _index/media0.db

update media set path=replace(path, 'old-name/', 'new-name/') where path like 'old-name/%'
