Wiki sweep (EN): menu split into Map + Settings, phone tabs and red Comm fail, edit column, centred questions, SIGMET layer and lists, AIRMET/SIGMET decoder, movable hazard lists, aerodrome charts, NOTAMs in bubble/leg panels, symbols by zoom, LSA legend, sites and route types
Wiki sweep: map control column (round buttons, voice/follow me/edit lock), retired freq-change rings, legend text, airfield/reporting-point tuning, broken anchors, LLSD (closed) → LLHZ, hotspot term (EN/HE)
Chart symbols from the CVFR legend (airfields, reporting points), legend rows, in-flight map buttons, own-aircraft icon (EN/HE)
Recent features: OpenFlightMaps and World layers, offline packs, magnetic variation, dial and heading readout
- Map Layers (EN/HE): OpenFlightMaps and World (offline); the world map is
always under every chart, and failed tiles are transparent.
- Offline and PWA (EN/HE): any chart, several at once; OpenFlightMaps by area
with a detail picker; Satellite and OSM stay online and why; the world map
needs no download.
- Features, Toolbar, Flight Plan, Route and Legs (EN/HE where the section
exists): magnetic variation is automatic (World Magnetic Model) or manual,
replacing 'fixed at 5°E'.
- Bearing dial (EN/HE): the needle is a north arrow, the number is magnetic,
a drag follows the finger. GPS Track Recording (EN/HE): the heading-up
readout is magnetic.
- LocalStorage schema: navaid.magVarAuto/Manual, navaid.offlinePacks,
navaid.commFail.

Comm failure page; deck of six; airfield phone link; parking phone; GA mail counts
- New Comm-Failure page (EN/HE): the button, the card (7600, tower phone,
light signals), NOW following the aircraft, Cancel, Herzliya areas
3/8/9, and the transcribed entry/altitude table.
- Features, Phone layout, Toolbar: the Comm fail button and the sixth deck item.
- Inspector: the Phone row that dials the field.
- Submit a flight plan: parking phone numbers dial.
- FAQ: the three anonymous mail hand-off counts.

Airspace layer: 50 areas, and the four CTRs it has been drawing
The count and the breakdown both predated the CTRs. Extra layers listed only
ENR 5.1 and the Ben-Gurion TMA sectors -- 46, exactly the areas of those two --
and called the layer three different things; the dataset has carried the four
AD 2.17 CTRs (Haifa, Ben-Gurion, Eilat Ramon north and south) and drawn them in
their own colour for some time. Both languages.
The exercise itself, to download, and the coordinate search
The Herzliya - Rosh Pina sheet is attached to the planning-form page in both
languages: route with its legs at 6,000 ft, met table, compass card, 4E
variation, the stated climb and descent figures. Open it through Import/Export
and the map and the form both fill in -- and what comes out should match the
published answers cell for cell, which is the point of handing it over rather
than describing it.
Features also documents what the search box now takes: a coordinate, in any of
the forms one actually arrives in, read as one coordinate before the
space-separated route syntax so "N32 30 E035 00" is a place rather than four
waypoints.
Document the phone layout, and what Follow me learned since
Follow me, offline CVFR, NOTAM sorting, turn predictor — and correct NOTAM source
New Follow me pages (EN + HE): sharing, watching, the restart-surviving session,
persistent-link flag, who-sees-what, tunables, and the two Python tools.
Offline-and-PWA rewritten for the automatic whole-chart CVFR pack (zooms 7–13,
route-corridor first, waits for an unmetered connection) instead of the old
four-chart manual download.
Extra layers: NOTAM list now documents relevance sorting and the Sort dropdown.
GPS track recording: the curved in-turn heading predictor, and a pointer to
Follow me. Features pages gain Follow me. Tuning panel and LocalStorage schema
cover the new follow-me / offline / predictor keys and the device-local
followMeSession and notamModalSize.
Corrects the NOTAM source across Extra Layers (EN + HE) and Toolbar: the feed is
the IAA Mobile AeroInfo site, not autorouter/EAD.
Sidebar gains Follow me in both languages.
CVFR (AIP) layer, and frequencies a NOTAM changed
Map Layers gains the eighth base layer: what it carries that the extracted CVFR
set does not, how it is placed on the sheets' own conic graticule, and which
printed panels are cut out of it.
Frequency Changes replaces 'the app points, you decide' with what the app now
does: the NOTAM's frequency in the field's own row, ringed, following the call
sign into the waypoint inspector and the Freq column, gone when the NOTAM is --
plus the table of what is deliberately NOT parsed, and the pointer badge that
still covers everything else.
Features: airspace, density altitude and live traffic; hotspots move to Safety
Align privacy sync and waypoint guidance
wiki: document Terrain vs altitude (EN + HE)
The toggle moved from View/Set to Extra layers and stopped being a row-only
control: it now shades the ground that reaches the planned altitude and marks the
legs and waypoints the plan does not clear.
Written up in Extra layers, with the part that matters most: the shading uses the
VFR clearance (500 ft open, 1000 ft congested), NOT the MSA buffer -- warning on
terrain + 1000 ft marks routes flown every day. Also what it judges (the line you
draw, not the published corridor) and what it cannot see (no obstacle data).
Corrected while there: the grid is 200x85 cells at ~1 km, not ~2 km; the MSA row
formula uses msaBufferFt rather than a hardcoded 1000; and The map's overlay list
no longer claims MSA is toggled from View/Set.
wiki: correct the deployment and architecture pages, expand the GPS summary
- Deployment said pull requests get no public preview. They do -- the workflow
publishes /pr/NNN/ and comments the link. Says so now, with what the shared
origin means and the one thing a preview does not share (chart tiles).
- Architecture's 'exact' script order omitted five of the thirteen scripts
(route-graph-shapes, gps, editor, assistant, offline-tiles), which matters
because the page states that the order is load-bearing.
- Features' GPS section now mentions the in-flight controls, the layout lock, the
alerts and the compass fallback rather than stopping at the wake-lock.
EN + HE.
Match the shortened GPS button labels (Record/Stop, Location/Hide; הקלטה/עצור, מיקום/הסתר)
The buttons were relabelled so the closed menu row survives a large system font;
the wiki still quoted the old wording (EN + HE).
Helicopters: the base chart is switched off on the live site
The deployed config sets layerEnabledHelicopters=false, so the Layer list has no
Helicopters entry — the wiki listed it as an available base map in seven places.
Each now says it exists but is not offered live, and where to turn it back on.
Also separated it from the helicopter ROUTE overlays, which are a different
feature and still available (they ship off, defaultShowHeli=false). EN + HE.
Document the route-direction picker, turning points and the return path shipping off
EN + HE kept in sync.
Wiki: the last two pages still naming a retired comm-change dataset
Frequency-Changes and Features both told the reader that frequency changes come
from docs/data/<prefix>-comm-change.json. That file was retired with the rest:
comm-change points ride on the route graph's nodes now (commChange + callSigns)
and are projected back into the old shape at run time, so what the app consumes is
unchanged but the path in the docs was wrong.
Completes the sweep -- every remaining mention of *-comm-change.json,
*-nav-waypoints.json and *-leg-altitude.json in the wiki is now explicitly
historical ("were retired", "no longer exist"), not an instruction to go and read
a file that is not there.
wiki: drop a fuel warning that does not exist, and two other stale claims
Flight-Plan said the Fuel column flags routes that exceed your tank when paired
with Highlight diff. NavAid has no tank-capacity field and no reserve check
anywhere -- Fuel-Calculator already says so plainly -- so this promised a
safety warning that will never appear. Replaced with what the column actually
does, and a pointer to the page that lists what NavAid does not do.
Features / Features-he still documented a Mag var control. It was removed in
#306: the value is fixed at -5 (5 deg E), the DOM element is gone, and a stale
navaid.magVar in storage does not override it -- all three pinned by
tests/dev-306-regression.spec.js.
Flight-Plan / Flight-Plan-he named the bare navaid.fpPos for the modal
position. Positions are per language (navaid.fpPos.en / .he) because the RTL
layout mirrors LTR; the bare key is only a one-time migration source.
Found by the main-snapshot review of b6e9173 (markdown-report: 3 MEDIUM, 1 LOW).
docs: align wiki with current NavAid behavior
docs: fix stale/incorrect UI locations in wiki instructions
Toolbar menus are Edit / View-Set / Display / Charts / Export-import /
Extra layers / Print (Toolbar.md is the accurate reference). Corrected pages
that still named old sections or said 'in the toolbar' for menu items:
- Add waypoint, Add note → Edit menu (not 'the toolbar')
- Flight plan, Freq table, Templates, Alt pairs → Charts menu (he: 'מפות'→'דפיות')
- Open in Google Earth → Export/import menu (was 'Route section')
- Find → Edit; Force snap → View/Set; Highlight diff → View/Set
- Show return path is in Edit, not View (fixed Features tables + Flight-Plan)
- Delete waypoint is in the inspector, not the toolbar
- Quick-Start / Home / Fuel / Layers / User-Guide / Google-Earth (en+he)
docs: recent features — GPS track recording (one-at-a-time zoom+glow), offline map packs, Google Drive sync, LSA bubbles, Android APK
New GPS-Track-Recording page (en+he); updated Features, User-Guide, Toolbar,
Extra-Layers, Offline-and-PWA, Home, Sidebar, Changelog (en+he) to cover the
recently-shipped features. Labels/behaviour verified against the app source.
wiki: rename Weather/Information menu → Extra layers
- Rename Weather page → Extra-Layers (EN + HE); drop the old Weather/
Information menu naming, document the uniform layer cards.
- Update Sidebar, Toolbar (EN+HE), Features, Changelog links + the 🗂
Extra layers section name.
- Refresh overview screenshots + add an Extra-layers close-up (07).
Document new options: NOTAM layer, SIGWX overlay, all-FL PWX, Information section, Simulator footer panel, light-mode default, per-language toolbar position
docs(wiki): reconcile pages with current app (running + source audit)
Audited all pages against the live app source. Key corrections:
- Dataset counts: nav-waypoints 172 (was 256/238/173), airfields 27 (was 16);
BYOP 142 PDFs / ~97 MB.
- Data paths: docs/data/*.json (comm-change, vor, nav-waypoints, airfields).
- Toolbar: 7 sections incl. Simulator; renamed Edit / View-Set / Export-import;
FDR export, Saved routes, SIGMET/wind/keep-kites/MSA toggles; magnifier opens 1x.
- Keyboard: +/- zoom the map (loupe only when magnifier on); add F/A/N/C/R/B.
- Storage keys: navaid.mapOpacity.v2, navaid.showVorStations, navaid.sec.sim,
toolbarCollapsed default 0.
- Architecture: script load order adds terrain.js, alt-pair-directions.js, gdrive.js.
- Export tiles via navaid-tiles.supino.org (not images.weserv.nl); SW cache navaid-v5;
deploy concurrency cancel-in-progress:false; CI path docs/data/nav-waypoints.json.
- i18n: English defaults live in core.js; docs/i18n/<lang>/strings.js (en empty); default locale English.
- Inspector-he: drop invented fields (Set Course, Type, note size, 5 shapes -> rect/oval).
- Freq: 52 comm-change points; Default label; freq-table scope. Charts-Modal-he: AIP May 2026.
- Quick-Start/Home/User-Guide (he): remove nonexistent Fly/calculate button (routing is live).
docs(wiki): document minimum safe altitude (MSA / terrain) — en + he
