🚀 Getting Started

Step 1: Sign In

  • Click the Sign In button in the top-right corner
  • Use your Google account or email to authenticate
  • Your research history will be saved to your account

Step 2: Ask a Question

  • Type your question in the search bar
  • Keep it clear and specific for best results
  • Press Enter or click Send

Step 3: Review Your Answer

  • Read the AI-generated synthesis
  • Check the numbered citations [1], [2], etc.
  • Explore the source cards to verify claims

🔍 Quick Search Mode

Quick Search is the default mode, perfect for straightforward questions that need fast, reliable answers.

How It Works

Your Question → Web Search → AI Synthesis → Cited Answer
  1. You ask a question - Type naturally, like asking a friend
  2. Real-time web search - VerifyAI searches the web for relevant sources
  3. AI analyzes sources - The AI reads and understands the content
  4. Synthesized answer - You receive a clear, comprehensive answer
  5. Citations included - Every fact is backed by numbered references

What You'll See

  • Answer Panel: The main AI-generated response with inline citations
  • Sources Section: Cards showing all websites consulted
    • Favicon and site name
    • Article title
    • Brief description
  • Follow-Up Questions: Suggested questions to explore further

🔬 Deep Research Mode

Deep Research is designed for comprehensive exploration of complex topics. It expands your query into multiple search angles and synthesizes a detailed research report.

When to Use Deep Research

  • 📚 Writing research papers or reports
  • 🔄 Comparing multiple perspectives or options
  • 📊 Analyzing trends or complex phenomena
  • 🧪 Exploring new or specialized topics
  • 📋 Creating comprehensive summaries

How to Enable Deep Research

  1. Click the Deep Research toggle in the search bar
  2. Choose your query count (3-7 queries)
    • 3 queries: Quick deep dive
    • 5 queries: Balanced research (recommended)
    • 7 queries: Exhaustive exploration
  3. (Optional) Enable Advanced Options:
    • Include Subpages: Crawl linked pages for more context
    • Force Fresh Results: Get the latest data, bypass cached results
  4. Submit your question

The Research Process

When you submit a Deep Research query, you'll see real-time progress:

    • Deduplicated (no repeated sources)
    • Click Export PDF to download full report

Example Deep Research

Your Question: "How does climate change affect ocean ecosystems?"

Expanded Queries Generated:

  • "Climate change impact on coral reef ecosystems"

Result: A 4000+ word comprehensive report covering all angles, with 25+ sources cited.


📊 Understanding Your Results

Reading Citations

Citations appear as superscript numbers like [1], [2], [3] throughout the answer.

  • Single citation [1]: Claim sourced from one article
  • Multiple citations [1][2]: Claim verified by multiple sources
  • Reference section: All sources listed at the bottom

Source Cards

Each source card contains:

  • Favicon: Website icon for quick recognition
  • Title: Article or page title
  • Site Name: Domain name (e.g., "nytimes.com")
  • Click to Open: Opens source in new tab

This section shows you exactly how VerifyAI researched your topic:

Chat History

Access your past research sessions from the sidebar:

  • Recent Chats: Last 20 conversations
  • Titled by Topic: Each session auto-titled based on content
  • Click to Resume: Continue any previous research

Bookmarks

Save important searches for quick access:

  1. Find the Bookmark icon on any AI response
  2. Click to save/unsave
  3. Access all bookmarks from Bookmarks in the navigation
  4. Your bookmarks include:
    • Original query
    • Full AI response
    • Timestamp

PDF Export (Deep Research)

Download your research as a professional PDF document:

  1. Complete a Deep Research query
  2. In the Sources section, click Export PDF
  3. The PDF includes:
    • Report title and generation date
    • Original query
    • Queries explored with source counts
    • Full research report
    • Complete source list with URLs

General Questions

Q: Is VerifyAI free to use?

Currently, VerifyAI is available for free during the beta period. Usage limits may apply.

Q: How current is the information?

VerifyAI searches the live web, so information is as current as what's published online. Enable "Force Fresh Results" in Deep Research for the absolute latest data.

Q: Can I trust the AI's answers?

Every claim is backed by numbered citations. We encourage you to click through to sources to verify important information.

Q: What's the difference between Quick Search and Deep Research?

Quick Search uses a single query for fast answers. Deep Research expands into 3-7 queries, searches more sources, and generates a comprehensive report.

Q: How many sources does VerifyAI use?

  • Quick Search: 6-8 sources
  • Deep Research: 20-35 sources (deduplicated)

Q: Can I export my research?

Yes! In Deep Research mode, click "Export PDF" to download a formatted report with all sources.

Technical

Q: Why does the progress bar show during Deep Research?

Deep Research involves multiple steps: query expansion, parallel searching, and synthesis. The progress bar shows real-time status of each phase.

Q: What happens if a source link is broken?

Source links are live web URLs. If a page is removed after VerifyAI found it, the link may not work. The original search was valid at the time.

Q: Is my data private?

Your queries and research history are saved to your account only. We don't share or sell user data.

No sources found Try rephrasing your query or making it more specific
Answer seems incomplete Try Deep Research mode for comprehensive coverage
Sources seem irrelevant Refine your query with more specific terms
PDF won't export Ensure the research is complete, then try again
Can't see chat history Make sure you're signed in
