for those who are searching here is a link to an esp solution connecting the battery via esp and wifi to HA. And in this particular comment from the developer he also links to a project that runs esp 32 and connects the 2nd RS485 port used for internal communication between the BMS ses of serveral batteries in parallel. |

Uh oh!

I am using Batmon HA for quite a while and in general it works great untill bluetooth issues appear.
Of cause those are not caused by the huge distance cause I have placed the BT antenna next to the battery in the front.
I have also exchanged the BT module and tried severals till I found this one I found the most reliable.
Here you can see the issue in the current HA battery monitoring for today which is shown in the green area.

And there are gaps which stand for missing data
The Pi4 is located at the back of the battery and roughly 1 m above, the BT antenna is located next to the front and right terminal - but it does not matter where the BT antenna is positioned (left, middle, on top) cause these gaps are coming from time to time which I do not like at all.
The RS485 / 282 cable distance might be 1,5 m - 2 m
Here is the front of my battery and the JK BMS communication board. From the left I am using right now
And to get the genuine data without any delay over the inverter (relay) directly from the battery I want to use BAT mon via 1 of the 3 still unused serial connections RS282 and RS485 which you can see on the right
Is it possible and what do I have to get ?
Just another USB FTDI Adapter I am using with the laptop ?
