+This is a community-maintained fork of [DFKI Phobos](https://github.com/dfki-ric/phobos) that provides full compatibility with **Blender 4.x and 5.0** using the new extension system.

+## 📦 Installation
+
+### For Blender 4.2+
+1. Download the latest release from [Releases](https://github.com/elasticdotventures/phobos-4.0/releases)
+2. In Blender: `Edit` → `Preferences` → `Get Extensions`
+3. Click the dropdown (top right) → `Install from Disk`
+4. Select the `phobos_4.zip` file
+5. The extension will install and register automatically
+
+### Building from Source
+```bash
+git clone https://github.com/elasticdotventures/phobos-4.0.git
+cd phobos-4.0
+python3 build_extension.py
+```

+The extension will be built to `dist/phobos_4.zip`
+
