How does Rofi know on which monitor to place itself in wayland?
#2243
I've been going over the code but i couldn't find exactly how it does it. I do see it has something with getting the current active in focus monitor but it's unclear to me how that works.
What i like to know is how Rofi knows, from a technical point of view, on which screen to place it's "wayland layer". It's clear that it's able to. Say i have 2 monitors, A and B. When i place my mouse in A and then call rofi it nicely shows up on A. And when i place my mouse in B rofi shows up there. It all works as expected. Nice!
But according to the wayland protocols and much of the info i could find on it it's impossible to know which monitor is the active in focus monitor (note i say in focus when the mouse is in that window). So how does rofi get around that seemingly impossible barrier of knowing the right monitor?
