Perspectives — alternative viewpoints

CivStack is one way to organize the question "what work must a society do, and who does it — human, AI, or robot?" It is not the only way. This folder holds parallel, intact takes on the same problem, kept whole rather than dissolved into the main library, so they can be read on their own terms and compared.

Keeping a second viewpoint is deliberate: a single taxonomy hides its own assumptions. Two independent structures over the same domain make those assumptions visible and give you a second opinion when you design a role, a sector, or a deployment.

What's here

  • agentic-workforce/ — an earlier, hand-authored take on the same idea. Same human/AI/robot teaming and a 22-domain backbone, but a different shape:
    • domains/ — one concise workforce skill per domain (22).
    • operating-models/ — strategic "operating models" (semiconductor sovereignty, energy abundance, bioeconomy, frontier-AI production, …) and a Human-AI-Robot command system.
    • physical-ai/ — a focused non-humanoid physical-AI library (autonomous vehicles, farm equipment, drones, AMRs) with its own roles, catalogs, checklists, and a use-case coverage matrix.
    • roles/, catalogs/, checklists/, templates/, strategies/ — supporting role cards, taxonomies, readiness checklists, and a frontier-technology strategy.

CivStack vs Agentic-Workforce, in one line each

  • CivStack (../skills/): generated, exhaustive, two-axis (23 sectors × 12 missions), deep on the machinery — capability/optimization spectrum, deskilling/keep-warm, job-description grounding, informal economy, the build/operate stack, and accountability controls. Regenerable from one generator.
  • Agentic-Workforce (here): hand-authored, concise, strategy-forward — strong on the frontier-technology thesis, the physical-AI taxonomy, and crisp readiness checklists.

Neither supersedes the other. See ../docs/viewpoints-comparison.md for a full cross-walk that maps each Agentic-Workforce artifact to its CivStack counterpart and says when to reach for which.

Note: this is an included copy, frozen as a viewpoint. The live, regenerated library is ../skills/. Edits to the canonical content go through ../tools/generate_skills.py; this folder is read as a reference perspective, not regenerated.
