Unfortunately, lists.cups.org is an Apple-managed site and we have no control over its contents or configuration... The printing-users and printing-architecture lists on kernel.org are the current place for discussing printing-related issues. |

Hello:
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. ->
Admin: please move as needed.Attempting to access the https://lists.cups.org/pipermail/cups/ page
gets me this:
Forbidden - You don't have permission to access this resource.Have not had to access the archives for a good while (CUPS just works) but do not recall this ever happening before.
Last time I accesed the list was to post a problem I had and then managed to solve in May 2024:
https://lists.cups.org/pipermail/cups/2024-May/075402.html
https://lists.cups.org/pipermail/cups/2024-May/075403.html
I then posted the solution here, asking for review of the issue:
OpenPrinting/cups-filters#585
After that and for a good while later the list was accessible, but not now.
I don't know when access rights were changed nor did I receive any notification to that effect.
That said, I still receive postings to the list and any answers those posts receive (clearly the list works as always) but I don't know where they all the postings are held (if anywhere) for future reference.
I have been advised that the archives 'belong' to Apple as the 'owner' of CUPS.
So it seems that access is up to them to allow or deny.
Q1:
What happens to the questions sent there and their (eventual) answers?
Q2:
Are they accessible somewhere else?
Thanks in advance.
Best,
PCL
