This demo shows how to use the built in primitives for NGL.
The primitives are split into two categories:
- Mesh primitives such as the teapot, bunny, buddah, dragon and troll
- Procedural primitives such as the sphere, cube, cylinder, cone, and pyramid
The procedural primitives need to be built using the create methods as shown in the code.
- OpenGL Wiki — Vertex Specification — VAOs and vertex buffers underlying every primitive.
- Creating a Sphere (songho.ca) — the parametric sphere/cylinder/cone construction used by the procedural primitives.
- Utah teapot — Wikipedia and Stanford bunny — Wikipedia — the history of the classic mesh primitives.
